1. Big Brother Casting

CBS’s reality game show Big Brother is looking for the cast of its 19th season right here in Pittsburg. In conjunction with CBS affiliate KOAM, Big Brother will hold an open casting call to assist folks with their audition at the Robert W. Plaster Center Saturday. The casting call is open from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Any contestants need to bring a valid ID.

2. Gorilla Dash and J. A. M.

Pittsburg Parks and Recreation and PSU ROTC team up for the second year to offer concurrent events. PPRD hosts Just Another Mudder for children ages 5-13. The event raises money for improvements to Schlanger Park. PSU ROTC hosts the Gorilla Dash — a 5K mudder — and raises funds for the SFC Forrest Robertson Scholarship. Both events begin at 9 a.m. at the PSU Baja Course. Registration is $20 for J. A. M. and $35 for Gorilla Dash.

3. Music Saves Bees Tour

Root Coffeehouse is hosting Travis French and Cody Sanders as part of #musicsavesbees. The traveling musicians are visiting locations all over the country to help save endangered bee species with honey and CD sales. Show begins at 7 p.m. Friday.

4. Miners Hall

The Miners Hall Museum presents “Tiger Proud” as part of its second quarter exhibit on Mulberry. The special program will examine Mulberry High School and sports and is hosted by Chuck Broyles. The program begins at 2 p.m Sunday. Refreshments will be available. “Tiger Proud” is free and open to the public.
