PITTSBURG — A local man was transported to Via Christi Hospital Monday night with possible stab wounds before becoming belligerent with hospital staff.

At 10:13 p.m. Pittsburg Police Department responded to 621 E. 21st Street following a report of a large fight in the street and a man bleeding. Rocky E. Riley, 33, was located by officers at the scene. Riley was suffering from two puncture wounds to his shoulder area, as well as facial injuries sustained from an expected earlier altercation.

 Riley was transported to Via Christi by Crawford County EMS and a PPD officer to receive treatment for his injuries.

At 3:58 a.m. Tuesday, PPD responded to Via Christi to a report of Riley causing a disturbance while receiving treatment. It was reported that he tried to harm hospital staff. A complaint has been forwarded to the Crawford County Attorney’s Office.
