PITTSBURG — Tractor Supply Company has opened its doors in Pittsburg, but the company plans to make an entrance the public will remember next week.

For its grand opening, Tractor Supply has planned a four-day, family-friendly event. Running June 22 through 25, the grand opening event will feature entertainment, giveaways and more.

The entire celebration will feature 10 percent discounted prices for all customers, and the main event on June 24 will have animals available for adoption from the SEK Humane Society and Gypsy Soul Rottweiler Rescue. The Saturday celebration will also include a petting zoo from Two Girls and a Zoo, equipment demonstrations and gift card giveaways.

Store Manager Trent Cannon said the community will see some familiar faces if they stop by the store.

“We have a staff of 13 people and I would say about 99 percent are local,” he said.

Tractor Supply had a soft opening Saturday and is currently open for business. Cannon said the four-day celebration is a way to further connect with the community.

“We want to make sure the community knows we’re here for them,” Cannon said. “We are going to have local rescue groups here to show our support, and we also always try to get involved with the local 4-H and FFA groups to show our support.”

Through the end of the summer, Tractor Supply is open for extended hours. The store will be open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Tractor Supply aims to be a one-stop shop serving everyone from gardeners and ranchers to pet owners and farmers.
