1. Solving Crimes and Keeping Safe

Miners Hall Museum is hosting a special program with Pittsburg Police Department Evidence Control Specialist Stephanie Garrison. The program is part of the museum’s third quarter exhibit, Evolution of Emergency Services: Fire and Police. The program will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday at Miners Hall. Admission is free.

2. Christmas in July

Christmas in July is a craft show hosted at the Robert W. Plaster Center on Pittsburg State University’s campus. The show takes place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and will feature over 30 unique vendors. Admission into the event is free.

3. Dive-in Movie

The Pittsburg Aquatic Center will present “Jaws” as its Dive-in Movie Friday. Gates will open at 8:15 p.m. with the film beginning at dark. Admission is $5 for children, $7 for adults. Children three and under are free.

4. Pittsburg Area Farmers Market

The Pittsburg Area Farmers Market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon Saturday at the farmers market pavilion. Vendors will be selling fresh produce, as well as other goods.

5. Tim Meadows at Kansas Crossing

Kansas Crossing Casino will present comedy from Tim Meadows, long-time Saturday Night Live performer and comedian. Meadows has appeared in films such as Mean Girls and Grown Ups, as well as appearing on several primetime television programs. Tickets range from $15 to $25 and are available at the box office 5 p.m. the day of the show. Doors open for the show 7 p.m. Saturday.
