PITTSBURG — A bounce house slide, dunk tank, balloon twister, pony rides, a spooky hallway and more will be set up for Sunday’s carnival at Lakeside Elementary School.

The carnival will be from 2 to 4 p.m. and is open to the community. To enter, attendees can purchase tickets to play at the event. Tickets are $1 for five tickets, 25 tickets for $5 or attendees can purchases an “unlimited” bracelet for $15. Cash only.

Lakeside PTO Member Michelle Graham said the funds raised will go right to the school and teachers — the carnival is one of the school’s biggest fundraisers, she said.

Pittsburg State University cheer squad will volunteer their time to staff the event.

Many of the activities were donated by local businesses and organizations — including Waco School House Haunt which donated spooky decor, a bounce house slide from Jake’s Fireworks and a dunk tank from Girard Fire Department.

Graham said last year had a great turn-out and this year the PTO would like to extend out to all communities.

“This is a great event,”  Graham said. “It’s a nice, family event of fun.”
