Wine Walk and Camp Talk
Miners Hall Museum will host a wine walk at 6 p.m. as part of its living history weekend. Tickets for the wine walk are $20 and include admission to the Camp Franklin tour at the museum. Tour tickets can be bought separately for $5.
Badges and Burgers
The City of Frontenac and Frontenac Police Department will be cooking up burgers during Frontenac High School’s football game against Columbus. All proceeds will benefit the united way.
Pittsburg American Legion Bingo
The Pittsburg American Legion will host bingo every Friday at the legion home. Doors open at 5 p.m. Early bird games are at 6:20 p.m. and regular bingo is at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, October 21
Living History at CCHM
Watch a World War II battle come to life during a living history day at Crawford County Historical Museum. WWII demonstrations take place all day from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. with battles at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m.
Rocktoberfest kicks off with German food, German beers and good music at 5 p.m. The event takes place at the Robert W. Plaster Center. Admission is $10. Proceeds benefit The Lord’s Diner. The night will include music from six different bands.
VFW Post 1158 holds meetings on the fourth Saturday of the month at 9 a.m. at 3204 N. Michigan.
Little Balkans Quilt Guild
The Little Balkans Quilt Guild holds a member open sew the fourth Saturday of every month from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church, corner of 6th and Pine in Pittsburg. Come help with community quilts, or work on your own project, get help and visit with other quilters. Bring your own sewing machine, fabric and sewing items. Rigatoni will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Memorial Auditorium. Meals are $6 for adults, $3 for children 6 to 12. Children 5 and under are free. All proceeds benefit the Children’s Advocacy Center.
St. Michael’s Fall Bazaar
St. Michael’s is hosting its annual Fall Bazaar and Turkey Dinner from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Meals include turkey, mashed potatoes, green beans and more. Meals are $7 for adults, $4 children ages 3 to 12. Carry out is available.
The Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host Sunday Dance at the Pittsburg American Legion, 2115 N Joplin. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the dance is from 2-5 p.m.
