PITTSBURG — Over 200 nativity scenes will be on display at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on Friday and Saturday.
The free event will be from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the church, located at 1507 South Rouse.
“It is a fun peaceful event,” Church Member Holly Maxwell said. “We want to invite the community.”
The nativity sets were donated by various people in the church and in the community including local artists.
“They are all so different,” Church Member Holly Maxwell said. “It’s so much fun to go see them.”
Maxwell said the different nativity scenes show different culture’s artistry of the scene including Mexico, Africa and Honduras.
During the event, there will be an area where children can dress up as angels or Mary and have photographs taken of them.
Maxwell said music and refreshments are included in the walk-through.
