PITTSBURG —  On Tuesday morning firefighters extinguished a fire at a two story home near East 4th street.

The Pittsburg Fire Department was advised of the residential structure fire at 9:09 a.m. at the 400th Block on North Olive.

There were no injuries to occupants or firefighters.

According to dispatch, the initial report was the fire started from trying to thaw out frozen pipes. The official cause is currently under investigation, Fire Marshal Tom Vacca said.

Vacca said due to frigid temperature and conditions a second shift of firefighters were on scene to keep everyone warm.
