Pittsburg American Legion Bingo
The Pittsburg American Legion will host bingo every Friday at the legion home. Doors open at 5 p.m. Early bird games are at 6:20 p.m. and regular bingo is at 6:30 p.m.
Saturday, January 6
Look for Sunflower Kiwanis members collecting aluminum cans from 8 a.m. to noon on the SW corner of Dillon's parking lot.
A representative from Kansas Legal Services will offer a presentation on Expungement in Kansas on Friday, January 5th at 12:00 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. Expungement is a court-ordered process in which the legal record of an arrest or a criminal conviction is “sealed,” or erased in the eyes of the law. This free program is open to the public. Participants are welcome to bring a sack lunch. Refreshments will be provided.
Sunday, January 7
The Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will host Sunday Dance at the Pittsburg American Legion, 2115 N Joplin. Doors open at 1 p.m. and the dance is from 2-5 p.m.
Monday, January 8
Treble Clef Club
Treble Clef Club of Pittsburg will meet at Via Christi Village Chapel at 1 p.m. Program of choral music will be presented by several members. Refreshments to follow.
NAMI Southeast Kansas
The NAMI family support group and a NAMI connections group meet on the second Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church, 520 N. Pine.
Co-Dependents Anonymous is a 12 step fellowship of men and women whose common purpose is recovery from codependence and the development and maintenance of healthy relationships. CoDA meets at noon at St. Peter’s Episcopal, 306 W. Euclid. For further information call 620-231-0499.
TOPS 0599 (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at St. Mary's Grade School located at 301 E. 9th. Private weigh-ins are from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are designed to provide motivation and support to help members reach their weight loss goals. Visitors are always welcome. TOPS (Take Off Pounds Sensibly) 0975, Girard, meets every Monday at 511 N. Western in Girard, KS. Private weigh-in will begin at 5 p.m. and end at 5:45 p.m. Meetings begin at 6 p.m. A support and motivational program is presented each week to encourage members to reach and maintain weight loss goals.
