PITTSBURG — Brandee Johnson has been helping local businesses grow through her business LimeLight Marketing, the only digital marketing firm in Southeast Kansas.
LimeLight Owner Johnson was recently honored as one of the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce’s 2018 Women of Distinction.
As a Southeast High School and Pittsburg State University graduate, she chose Pittsburg to open shop in 2015 after a more than decade-long career in operations, sales and marketing.
“I wanted to be a entrepreneur,” she said. “I started with two people and now have eight full-time staff.”
Creating jobs and providing a providing a workplace where people are valued and can feel free to be creative is something Johnson loves, she said.
Her team helps companies meet their goals by building websites and website strategies, branding, video and more.
Johnson’s efforts include the new Crawford County Convention & Visitors Bureau logo, website and “Crawford County 365” campaign, a new Imagine Pittsburg 2030 video and “Forward Together” slogan and the City of Pittsburg’s new website and housing development video.
Outside of business, Johnson stays pretty busy with her family, two teenagers active in sports and extracurricular activities.
“I find a lot of time at ball games,” she said.
Johnson is also active in the community as a board member for the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce and the PSU Kelce School of Business.
She also served on the steering committee which led to the creation of the Lord’s Diner in Pittsburg.
