PITTSBURG — Eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, juice and coffee.
If any of these sound good, United Way is hosting its annual St. Patty’s Breakfast at 7 to 10 a.m. on Friday at Colton’s Steakhouse.
Tickets can be purchased at the United Way office, Colton’s Steak House and Ron’s Supermarket. Tickets are $10 for adults, $5 for children between the ages of three and 10, and two and under eat for free.
People can purchase tickets at the door, but the organization prefers to have tickets bought before the event.
“One thing about getting the tickets before is on the back there is a coupon for a free appetizer at Colton’s,” United Way Director of Development for southeast Kansas Julie Reams said.
There will be live music and silent auction at the event.
The event is to raise awareness about United Way, which provides funds for programs which benefit southeast Kansas — including Wesley House, Safehouse Crisis Center and the Family Resource Center.
Just in southeast Kansas, Reams said, the organization has helped 14,000 people in 2017 through its fundraising efforts in 2016. In Crawford County alone, United Way has assisted 11,807 people.
“The numbers are staggering,” Reams said.
Reams thanked Ron’s Supermarket for providing the coffee, Colton’s Steak House for the food and use of the facility and Miller’s Professional Imaging for helping with printing.
