GIRARD — The Crawford County Commission discussed a bucket truck bid, an upcoming work session, and more during its regular meeting Friday.

1. The commission aims to purchase a bucket truck for the county. Identified on the Purple Wave website during the March 20 meeting, this truck would help clear some of the trees off of the rural roads.

“As our farm equipment gets bigger, we have issues with some of those combines getting through areas with big branches,” said County Clerk Donald Pyle. “We want to have the ability to go in and open those areas up a little bit more.”

2. At least one commissioner is set to attend the Kendall Packaging Corporation open house with special guest Governor Jeff Colyer at 10 a.m. Thursday at 1901 East 27th Terr.

3. The commission will conduct a work session to discuss neighborhood revitalization at 9 a.m. Tuesday.

4. Zoning Administrator Troy Graham will present a motion of recommendation during the regular meeting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

5. Dr. Steve Scott, Pittsburg State University President and Shawn Naccarato, PSU Director of Government and Community Relations will the address the PSU NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships during the regular meeting Tuesday.
