PITTSBURG — Five things to know from Pittsburg’s City Commission meeting Tuesday:
1. The commission approved the dance hall license application submitted by Robert Michael for The Pitt at 516 North Broadway. City Clerk Tammy Nagel was authorized to issue the license.
2. Additionally, the commission approved the appropriation ordinance for the period ending Tuesday, which is subject to the release of Housing and Urban Development expenditures when the funds are received.
3. During the meeting’s “Consider the Following” segment, the commissioners agreed to adopt the Downtown Design Standards for Broadway-facing buildings between 1st street and 10th street.
4. Near the end of the meeting, the commission voted 4 to 1 to approve a letter agreement for City Manager Daron Hall. Hall will receive a raise from making $140,400 a year to $145,000.
