FRONTENAC — Frontenac Homecoming is returning June 7 to 10 with more events and an extended schedule.
The homecoming will kick off Sunday at 6 p.m. with the Heritage Hall display, located in the Frontenac Town Hall.
Heritage Hall is a large collection of historical items from Frontenac’s History, and will be open throughout homecoming.
Other events include a community hot dog feed, carnival and three street dances with different bands. The street dances will take place Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening. The Saturday street dance will end the evening with fireworks.
The homecoming will boast some new events this year including an art creation event called a “Play N’ Paint” as well as the Greater Raider Run. The race is divided into two categories, the 5k run and a ½ mile fun run.
However, Frontenac is not straying far from their traditional homecoming fun. The old favorites of kids games, shuffleboard tournament, cakewalk, and town parade will be making a return this year.
Homecoming will also boast a pancake feed, fishing derby, ice cream social, arm wrestling contest, and pool games as well as several other events.
Members of the Frontenac High School graduating classes of 1968, 1993 and 2008, are invited to the Alumni Celebration at 5 p.m. on Saturday at Pallucca’s event center.
More information about the event can be found on the Frontenac Homecoming Facebook, www.facebook.com/frontenachomecoming.
