PITTSBURG — A Missouri man is currently in jail after an interrupted burglary.
According to a release from the Pittsburg Police Department, shortly after 1 a.m. Friday, a PPD officer on routine patrol allegedly observed suspicious activity in the 200 block of West Hudson in Pittsburg. Officers conducted a field investigation and discovered a burglary in progress at the Westar Energy facility located at 2010 John F Kennedy Street.
John Thomas Dickinson, 39, of Steelville, Missouri, was arrested for burglary, criminal damage, and felony theft of property. Property allegedly stolen from Westar Energy during the burglary was recovered on scene.
He is being held on $5,250 bond.
