PITTSBURG — The community has an opportunity to learn more about new faces in the community during a special Chamber Coffee on Thursday.
The Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce Chamber Coffee is hosted by Larry and Sooki Fields, owners of the Frisco Event Center, and Joe Hart of Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance.
“We decided we wanted to make it a little different,” Hart said. “We made the decision to promote other people and recognize people in the community.”
The free event begins at 8 a.m. on Thursday at the Frisco Event Center.
The event includes entertainment by Pittsburg High School Choir under the direction of Susan Laushman.
New school administrators of Pittsburg Community Schools will be introduced and so will the new baseball and basketball coaches from Pittsburg State University, and the new Pittsburg YMCA director.
The community will be learn about a few of the new businesses in town and long-time businesses will be recognized.
