PITTSBURG — One arrest has been made in the Monday afternoon armed robbery.
According to a release from the Pittsburg Police Department, on Tuesday afternoon, October 9, PPD officers and Labette County Sheriff's Office Deputies arrested a 17-year-old juvenile male in relation to the robbery incident which allegedly occurred at 206 W. Hudson St., Pittsburg, on Monday, October 8, 2018. The juvenile suspect was arrested at a location in Labette County, outside of Parsons, and was taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile was arrested for aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary, kidnapping (unlawfully confining any person by force with intent to hold such person to facilitate the commission of any crime) and theft. The juvenile was transported back to Pittsburg for processing and was later transported to the Southeast Kansas Regional Juvenile Detention Center, in Girard, Kansas, for holding.
Two suspects described in reports as black males remain at large.
An undisclosed amount of money was taken during the incident.
