Voter informational meeting
An informational meeting on new regulations set forth by the Secure and Fair Elections law (SAFE Act) of 2011 will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. at the Beard-Shanks Law Enforcement Center.
Daughters of the Nile
Azrim Temple No. 81, Daughters of the Nile, will have a stated session at 7 p.m. at Mirza Temple.
A reception will be held in honor of Azrim’s past queens.

Pittsburg Rotary Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. A program titled “May 22...A Year of Hope and Recovery” will be presented by the president of the Joplin Rotary Club.

FRANKLIN — Rollin’ Nostalgia Car Club will host a classic car show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Miners Hall Museum, Franklin.

PATH meeting for May will be at 11:30 a.m. in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital.
Jewelry sale
Via Christi Auxiliary will sponsor a Masquerade $5 jewelry and accessories sale from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday in the Via Christi Hospital community entrance area.
Shoppers may pay by cash, checks, credit cards and payroll deduction. Proceeds will benefit the purchase of equipment for the hospital.
Liberal Ladies Who Lunch
Liberal Ladies who Lunch will meet at noon at the Pittsburg Public Library. Those attending should bring their own lunch.
“Koch Brothers Exposed,” a 45-minute DVD, will be shown. Made by Brave New Films, it focuses on billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch and their political activities.

Dr. Cynthia Allan and Debbi Fischer, RN, MSN, will present the program on “Scared Competent” Theatre and nursing in educational tandem.
Tom Sims will give the invocation, and song leader will be Judy Westhoff. John Clark will have introductions and Bobby Winters will serve as sergeant at arms.
