Dogs at library
Pittsburg Public Library will observe “Take Your Dog to Work Day”.
Baby Boy, a rat terrier, and Riley, a Golden Retriever, will accompany their owners to the PPL Adult Services Department, while Wilson, a mixed-breed, and Jack, an Old English Sheepdog, will be in the Youth Services Department. Visiting in the IT Department will be Dallas, an Olde English Bulldog.
The dogs will be confined and supervised by their owners at all times, but will probably welcome attention from dog-loving library patrons.
This is the 14th year for Pet Sitters International’s Take Your Dog to Work Day. It was created to celebrate the great companions dogs make and to encourage their adoption from humane societies, animal shelters and breed rescue clubs. All of the dogs at the library were adopted from shelters or rescued.
