Two Pittsburg residents were arrested and booked in the county jail Friday on multiple drug charges.
Chavez Allen Kimbrough, 27, and Casey A. Whetzell, 23, were both arrested following a search for drugs conducted by the Crawford County Drug Task Force, which consists of members of the Pittsburg Police Department, Crawford County Sheriff's Department and Pittsburg State University Police Department, along with assisting agents from the SEK KBI Drug Task Force.
The search began at around 8:20 a.m. on Friday at Kimbrough's residence, 804 E. Seventh in Pittsburg. During the search of the residence, alleged marijuana and drug paraphernalia were found, which led to the arrests.
Kimbrough is facing charges of possession with Intent to distribute marijuana, possession of a controlled substance (Darvocet), possession of a controlled substance (Percocet), felony possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and no drug tax stamp.
Kimbrough's bond was set at $21,500. Whetzell was issued a warrant. Her bond was set at $417.
