More than 250 high school students from area schools will learn about careers in early childhood education, family and consumer science teaching, fashion merchandising, and interior design during PSU’s Family and Consumer Sciences Career Day on Monday, Nov. 24. The event runs from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. in the Overman Student Center and the FCS building.
Organizers said one of the things the high school students find enjoyable about the event is that they hear from current students in PSU’s Family and Consumer Sciences programs.
Following the opening session, in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom, from 10-10:20 a.m., the students will rotate through sessions on the individual career paths within FCS. They will also have an opportunity to tour the campus and eat lunch in Gibson Dining Hall. The closing will be held from 1:45-2 p.m. in the Crimson and Gold Ballroom.
For information, persons may call Cris Elliott at 235-4512.
