Pittsburg Police Officers are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that occurred just after 10:30 p.m. Monday night at the Comfort Inn and Suites, 4009 Parkview Dr.
Officers arrived shortly after the call and made contact with the clerk, who advised that the suspect approached the service desk, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
After the suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash, he left the building through the front doors and entered the front passenger’s side of an older model white four-door sedan. The vehicle left the lot and traveled northbound on Parkview Drive. The hotel clerk was not injured during the incident.
The suspect was described as a light-skinned black male, 20 to 25 years of age, about 5-foot-9 tall and weighing 165 pounds with short black wavy hair. The suspect had tattoos on both arms and acne-like bumps on his face. He was wearing a brown shirt, blue jeans and brightly colored yellow and teal-green shoes.
Anyone with information is encouraged to call the Pittsburg Police Department at 231-1700. Callers may remain anonymous. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Department also assisted with the call.
