The Kansas Department of Transportation (KDOT) has started a project that will replace connecting joints on the Neosho River Bridge on K-47 west of St. Paul.
KDOT awarded the $56,000 bridge repair contract to Beachner Construction Company, Inc., of St. Paul. When necessary, flaggers will guide one-lane traffic through the work zone during daylight hours. No significant delays are expected. The project should be finished by January 16, weather permitting.
Persons with questions about the bridge project or other KDOT projects can call Pittsburg Area Construction Engineer Bob Gudgen at 231-7560 or Southeast Kansas Public Affairs Manager Priscilla Petersen toll free at 1-877-550-5368.
