The 1960s brought forth some of the best popular music of the 20th century. Pittsburg Community Theatre presents some of the hit songs, along with some comedy skits, in “That 60’s Show,” to be presented at 7:30 p.m. today, Thursday and Friday and 3 p.m. Saturday at Pittsburg Memorial Auditorium.

The Saturday matinee will be part of the Little Balkans Days festivities. Admission for it will be by a $4 Little Balkans Button. Regular tickets will need to be  purchased for the evening performances.

The show opens with “Aquarius,” then features old favorites by Peter, Paul and Mary, the Beach Boys, Beatles, Sonny and Cher, Simon and Garfunkel and others.

Some standouts include Kimberly Arozian in a powerful rendition of Barbra Streisand’s “Don’t Rain on My Parade,” Peter  Chung doing Otis Redding’s “Sitting on the Dock of the Bay,” and everything Lisa Gerstenkorn sings. Susie Lundy could give Nancy Sinatra lessons on how to perform “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’.”

Comedy segments include “Went with the Wind,” an amusing “Gone with the Wind” spoof with Lundy perfect as Scarlet O’Hara, and an episode of “The Dating Game” with Mark Johnson as emcee and three bachelors including a guy who’s never turned down by a woman more than twice, a bull rider and a taxidermist.

The performing company is composed of Robert Adair, Kimberly Arozian, Ethan Caldwell, Jayson Canton, Peter Chung, Eric Davis, David Elam, Abbi Epperson, Lisa Gerstenkorn, Robyn Hilt, Cassie Hurt-Mclarty, Josh Johnson, Logan Johnson, Mark Johnson, Tammy Johnson, Susie Lundy, Johh Mazurek, Solomon Moore, Sienna Paoni, Kevin Pommier, Lisa Quinteros, Michelle Rhoades, Julie Samuels, Bryan Stebbins, Lori Stotler, Paula Teats, Allie Townsend and Megan Villamaria.

In the band are Josh Johnson on piano and guitar, Kyle Ogle on bass, Cooper Neil on guitar and Daniel Warlop  on drums.

Director is Alice Hilt, with Josh Johnson as music director and Jason Huffman as technical director.

Robyn Hilt did costume design.
