In the news: Microsoft on Monday showed off its entry in the tablet market, the Surface. The device will compete with the iPad, Kindle Fire and other tablets. Surface will run on Windows 8 and have a 10.6-inch high-definition screen and feature a cover that turns into a keyboard.

Happening today: Game 4 of the NBA Finals is tonight at 9 p.m. EDT on ABC. LeBron James and the Miami Heat lead Oklahoma City two games to one.

Gas update: GasBuddy.com reports that the highest gas prices can be found in Anchorage, Alaska ($4.163) and Honolulu ($4.231).

Opening bell: The Dow Jones opened at 12,741.82 after finishing down 25.35‎ points Monday.
