Two arrested for Pittsburg thefts

Two Pittsburg men were arrested Friday in connection to a pair of recent incidents.

The first incident was an aggravated robbery on Jan. 29 in the 100 block of E. Forrest and the second was a burglary on Feb. 2 in the 3100 block of Scotty Drive.

The two men arrested were Cody Gene Hammonds, 21, Pittsburg, and Prentice Vontress Evans, Pittsburg. Both were taken to the Crawford County Jail.

Hammonds is charged with aggravated robbery, burglary and theft, while Evans is charged with aggravated robbery, theft, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected in the case. Anyone with more information on the case is encouraged to call 231-1700.
