The mother of a four-month-old baby who died in Arma on Aug. 31 has been charged with second-degree reckless murder in the incident.
Heather L. Buckalew, 25, of Arma, was arrested Feb. 7 and had her first appearance in the case Feb. 8 and a status conference Wednesday.
Another status conference is set for 2 p.m. March 6 and a preliminary hearing will take place at 10 a.m. April 3.
Buckalew originally was held on a $50,000 cash surety bond, which the court changed to a $40,000 cash surety bond during Wednesday’s status conference.
Factual allegations will be released at the preliminary hearing, and Buckalew faces 109 to 493 months in prison if convicted.
