A possible suspect has been identified in a series of recent burglaries in Pittsburg, and the Pittsburg Police Department is seeking information regarding his identity.

The individual is a white male in his early 20s and is estimated to be between 6 feet and 6 feet 2 inches tall. He also is described as having short blond hair and an athletic build.

The suspect was in the Meadowbrook Mall area on Feb. 8, 2013.

Police are asking anyone with information regarding this or other crimes to report it to the Pittsburg Police Department at 620-231-1700.

Callers may remain anonymous.

Short Stop robbed
Early Friday morning at about 1:30 a.m., Pittsburg Police responded to an armed robbery call at the South Short Stop, 1307 S. Broadway.

The clerk said a black male entered the business, showed a gun and asked for money. The suspect was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the store traveling southbound on foot. The clerk was not injured. The suspect was not located.

The suspect was described as a black male, 6’ tall, 200-250 lbs. with an athletic build, wearing a blue t-shirt pulled over his head, with short hair. The investigation is ongoing.
