According to Public Policy Polling, the American public has a higher opinion of root canals, NFL replacment refs, head lice, and colonoscopies than they do of the 112th Congress. Those polled were asked if their opinion of Congress was favorable or unfavorable, then asked if they had a higher opinion of Congress or a variety of other things. Along with what was already listed, Congress was also held in lower esteem than cockroaches, Genghis Khan and traffic jams. However, the 112th Congress did manage to beat gonorrhea, the Kardashian family, meth labs and the ebola virus.

Burt and Virginia try to fix Jimmy's credit score (which they wrecked when he was a child) in tonight's episode of "Raising Hope." Chrisopher Lloyd and a Delorean have been promised and "Back to the Future" references are bound to be plentiful. Fox 8 p.m. EST, Tuesday, Jan. 8.
