Registration books close Oct. 16
The Crawford County Clerk’s Office wants to remind voters that the Voter Registration Books will close at 4:30 PM on Tuesday, October 16, 2012. This is in preparation for the General Election to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2012. October 16 is the last day to register to vote or to change any information on your voter registration record including name or address changes. To check your voter registration information or to view your sample ballot just log on to the website www.voteks.org and click on the link “What is my registration status, polling place and ballot”.
At the General Election, all registered voters from the same voting precinct will receive the same ballot. There are no differences in ballots because of party affiliation.
Please remember that everyone will be required to show a valid photo identification card at the polling place this year. You can get more information on the valid forms of photo ID at the website www.voteks.org or by calling the office of the Crawford County Clerk at 620-724-6115.
Advance Voting Begins Oct. 17
Advance voting by mail and in person in the County Clerk’s Office begins on October 17. You can download an Advance Ballot Application from the voteks.org website or you can call the Office of the Crawford County Clerk at 620-724-6115 and they will mail an Advance Ballot Application to you.
Advance ballots must be received by the County Election Office no later than 7:00 PM on Election Day, November 6, 2012, in order to be counted.
Crawford County will also conduct Advance Voting in person at the Meadowbrook Mall starting October 27 through November 1. Anyone registered to vote in Crawford County will be able stop by between 11:00 AM and 7:00 PM on one of these days or between noon and 5:00 PM on Sunday October 28.
