Willa Cable celebrated her 69th birthday with four of her grandchildren on Friday, August 17, l8. 19. All enjoyed the weekend following Church services in Arcadia and Chinese dinner in PItsburg. The relatives attending were Andrew & Loryn Woodworth of Lawrence, Kansas and Sam & Nate Cable, Lamar, MO and husband Charlie Cable.

The Autumn Leaves Senior Citizens met in their Cottage on Monday, August 13 with 22 present for a fine luncheon. The table was filled with Sandwich makings plus all kinds of fresh vegetables, fresh fruits and Home baked cakes, pies and Crunchies served with Coffee and Lemonade.
Following the business meeting conducted by Vice President, Patty Peterson due to the absence of Pesident Lilly Coonrod, Bingo was played.
Others present for dinner were Helen Sisney, Mary V. Shead, Janice Mayfield, Betty Popejoy, Jerry Coonrod, Jessie & Hardy Dunn, Jack and Mary Lee Payne, Carol Bridgewater, Alta Carpenter, Sharon DeGruson, Raymond Kalm, Gary Peterson, Willa & Charles Cable, Garland Johnson, Larry Cox, Forrest & Ernestine Berkey, Carole Garrison. Patty Peterson was winner of the Gift card given by the Arma Care Center who send the ladies to take Blood Pressure readings. For this we all give thanks. All Senior Citizens in this area are welccome to attend these meeting held once a month on the second Monday. Bring a covered dish to be srved at noon each meeting day in the Cottage.

Ernestine Berkey took Helen Sisney to the Arma, Kansas 66th VJ Homecoming Parade. They saw many people from Arcadia including Kenny Cambers alias “Cracker” from Liberal, MO and Jim Yates. They enjoyed the Double Cheeseburger Lunch and took lunch home to Forrest Berkey.
