Flapjack fundraiser
A flapjack fundraising breakfast will be held from 8 to 10 a.m. at Applebee’s. Tickets are $5 for all-you-can-eat pancakes, with $3 from each ticket going to the Pittsburg Community Garden.
Advance tickets are being sold by garden volunteers, but tickets will also be available at the door.
The Pittsburg Community Garden, established in 2009 behind the First Christian Church, donated more than 10,000 pounds of fresh produce to Wesley House in 2012. The garden also leases plots to those who would otherwise have no place to garden.
Easter egg hunt
CHEROKEE — Cherokee American Legion Post 35 will sponsor an Easter egg hunt at 1 p.m. at the Cherokee Park.
In case of inclement weather, the event will be moved inside the post home. Those participating should enter by the front door.
Legion auxiliary
Benjamin A. Fuller American Legion Auxiliary 64 will have a regular meeting at 1:30 p.m. in the post home. Elsie Mason, president, will preside.
Plans will be finalized for the district convention, and the charter will be draped for Carol Aikman, a lifetime auxiliary member.
Spaghetti dinner
ARMA — Arma American Legion Post 182 will serve a spaghetti dinner, open to the public, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Menu will feature spaghetti with meatballs, tossed salad, garlic bread and dessert. Carry-outs will be available. Cost will be a $6 donation, with children 6 and younger eating free.
