Early Friday morning, crews responded to hay bales on fire in the rural parts of the county.
Just before 4 a.m. Friday, Crawford County Sheriff’s deputies and Brazilton Fire Department responded to a report of hay bales on fire at the intersection of 590th Avenue and 80th Street in the western part of the county.
The property owner, John Yoger of Girard, arrived to help separate the burning bales from undamaged bales. The fire is being investigated as an arson and is described as “suspicious in nature.”
