Kiwanis Club

Pittsburg Kiwanis Club will meet at noon in dePaul Hall, Via Christi Hospital. Program will be a history of Christmas carols, including a sing-along.

Devin Gorman will serve as greeter and Tim Metcalf will give the invocation. Cashier will be Helen Kriegsman.

Low Vision Group

Pittsburg Low Vision Support Group will meet at 1:15 p.m. at the Mall Deli for the annual Dutch treat lunch.

All are welcome to attend. Those who wish may bring a toy for the KOAM Toy Box. Anyone needing additional information may call Shelia Marque at 620-231-5300, ext. 241.

Church dinner

CHEROKEE — Cherokee United Methodist Church will have a spaghetti dinner from 5 to 7 p.m.

Menu will feature spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread and dessert. Carry-outs will be available, and those wishing to have meals delivered may call 620-457-8484.

Cost will be $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12.

Phi Kappa Chapter

Phi Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, will meet at 7 p.m. in the Pittsburg High School family and consumer sciences room.

Plans will be discussed for the Christmas family and the upcoming Christmas party.

Sperry-Galligar Audubon

Sperry-Galligar Audubon will meet at 7 p.m. in room 102, Yates Hall, Pittsburg State University.

Guest speaker will be Mike Davis, whose topic will be “Recovery of the California Condor.” A retired forensic chemist and crime scene investigator, Davis is a member of the National and Missouri Audubon Societies, Wildcat Glades Conservation and Audubon Center of Joplin, a number of national conservation organizations and is a Missouri Master Naturalist.

The program is open to the public. Refreshments will be served and a door prize will be given.

TOPS KS 0884

TOPS KS 0884 meets every Thursday at Knights of Columbus Towers, 700 N. Pine.

Weigh-in will begin at 9 a.m., with the business session following at 9:30 a.m.

Frontenac American Legion Post 43 will sponsor bingo from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Center. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.
