Birdseed sale
Sperry-Galligar Audubon will have its 13th annual birdseed sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Meadowbrook Mall.
Proceeds will go toward public education and conservation.
Free bulk drop-off
Crawford County, the City of Pittsburg and Southeast Kansas Recycling will provide a free bulk item drop-off from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the SEK Recycling Center, 615 S. Joplin.
Items such as mattresses, box springs, furniture, chairs, couches and appliances may be brought. This is open to all Crawford County residents.
VFW Auxiliary
Albert M. Wheeler Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary No. 1158 will have a regular meeting at 9:30 a.m. at the post home. Effie Toney will preside.
A Christmas dinner will be held from 11:30 a.m. to noon.
Holiday dinner
ARCADIA — A free holiday dinner will be served from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Arcadia Community Center.
All may attend. Carry-outs will be available, and transportation will be available. Those attending are asked to bring non-perishable food items to be distributed to those in need at Christmas.
Spaghetti dinner
ARMA — Arma American Legion Post 182 will serve a spaghetti dinner, open to the public, from 5 to 7 p.m.
Menu will feature spaghetti with meatballs, tossed salad, garlic bread and dessert. Carry-outs will be available. Cost will be a $6 donation, with children 6 and younger eating free.
