The St. Mary’s Colgan softball team improved to 13-1 this season with 11-4 and 9-4 wins over Southeast on Monday night.
In the first game, Morgan Gilmore went 2-for-3 with a single and a double and pitching wise, she fanned 12, walked none and only allowed four Southeast hits. Sydney Beck hit 2-4 with two doubles and three RBI.
In the second game, Colgan allowed four runs in the first three innings but Gilmore clamped down on Southeast those final four frames with no hits. Gilmore finished with five strikeouts and seven hits allowed, while at the plate she went 2-3 with three RBI.
Amanda McBride went 1-1 and walked four times; she played her role by scoring four runs. Jordan Fleming went 1-2 with a double and reached base two additional times on walks. Katie Kolarik added two RBI.
Colgan (13-1) plays a doubleheader Thursday at home against Riverton.
