Cherokee breakfast

CHEROKEE — Cherokee American Legion will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.

Menu will offer five breakfast plates, each costing $5. They are biscuit and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns; two pancakes, two sausage patties and eggs; biscuit and sausage gravy, hash browns and sausage patties; two pancakes, two sausage patties and hash browns; and eggs, sausage patties and hash browns.

Pittsburg Beautiful

Pittsburg Beautiful is seeking assistance for Make a Difference Day from groups and individuals in picking up litter along the Highway 69 Bypass from Centennial to Atkinson.

Volunteers are asked to meet at 10 a.m. at the Recreation Vehicle Campground parking lot behind the Pittsburg welcome sign at 20th and the bypass. Hot dogs will be served immediately following the clean-up.

The Storehouse

The Storehouse will be open from 10 a.m. to noon in the first building south of Covenant Harvest Church.

The Storehouse has been created to serve the community with free clothing. Anyone needing additional information may call 231-6881.
Coffee is included in the price. Milk or juice will be available for an additional 50 cents.

Spaghetti dinner

ARMA — Arma American Legion Post 182 will serve a spaghetti dinner, open to the public, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Menu will feature spaghetti with meatballs, tossed salad, garlic bread and dessert. Carry-outs will be available. Cost will be a $6 donation, with children 6 and younger eating free.

Halloween party

Elks Lodge No. 412 will host a Halloween party from 6 to 8 p.m. for youngsters up to the age of 12.

There will be games, hot dogs, chips and candy, with a costume contest at 7 p.m. Trick or treat bags will be given out free to children. Parents may attend, but will have to  pay for their treats.
