Editor’s note: Tuesday’s city commission meeting will consider a resolution of intent, which would give city manager Daron Hall roughly three months to investigate a trash plan for consideration by the commissioners. In order to do that, plans are to form a committee,  which would have regular, open meetings with public comment to help shape that plan. There is no specific plan on the table at Tuesday’s meeting.

For all the people in this darn town, you better wake up and get some guts and put a stop to the city bullies from their communist ways. First they bully all of you on the sales tax increase to take care of the streets. Vote yes on tax increase or we add the cost to your property taxes. Are your property taxes not high enough? Mine are too high on a small house at the rate.

You will be forced to pay $30 on your water bill each month because 1/3 of Pittsburg residents don’t have and won’t get trash service. If you have trash service, you pay it on your water bill anyway. Stand up to the city and for your right to choose. Get some guts.
