Dear Editor:

What can one say after 18 years of living and working in this great place? How can one thank so many people who have become wonderful friends, colleagues, and neighbors? As my wife (Lynda) and I move into the next trip on our life journey together, I’m finding it difficult to express how much we have enjoyed, learned, and appreciated our time in Pittsburg and, for me, teaching at PSU. Over the span of those 18 years we both have been involved in so many great and worthwhile organizations and projects, it is impossible to thank each individual whom we have encountered and with whom we have developed a bond of friendship. We are going to miss all of you!

While our move back to Southern California is exciting and we are looking forward to being closer to where most of our relatives live, a part of each of our hearts will be here in Pittsburg. Besides, like with my years as a US Marine, once a Gorilla, always a Gorilla! Go Pitt State! Goodbye and we hope to see you again some time.
