PSU football signs kicker

Pittsburg State University head football coach Tim Beck announced Tuesday (Feb. 8) that Jakeb Craig, a senior at Lyons (Kan.) High School, has signed a letter of intent to join the Gorillas for the 2010 season.
Craig becomes the 28th high school player to commit to Pitt State.
Biographical Information:
JAKEB CRAIG, 6-0, 195, FR, PK/P
Hometown: Lyons, Kan.
High School: Lyons
H.S. Coach: Matt Sandbo
Honors/Stats: A four-time first-team All-League selection as a place kicker at Lyons High… also a three-time first-team All-League pick at punter… earned first-team Kansas Class 3A All-State recognition as a place kicker as a junior in 2008… converted seven of 11 field goals and 27 of 28 PAT tries and punted 24 times for a 37.8 yard average as a senior in 2009… converted four of five field goals and 30 of 32 PATs and punted 38 times for a 37.8 yard average as a junior… also earned All-League honors at quarterback (2007-08), running back (2009) and defensive back (2009)… compiled 2,717 passing yards, 2,579 rushing yards and 56 combined TDs over his final two prep seasons… also a two-time state qualifier in track & field.
Personal:  Born September 10, 1991… son of Cody and Christina Craig.
Anticipated PSU major: physical education.
