Bingo
Golden Living Center will host bingo at 1 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center, 3003 N. Joplin.

Anyone needing additional information may call the center at 231-9773.

DAR
Oceanus Hopkins Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, will meet at 5:30 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library.

Installation of officers will be held as follows: Janice Brady, Parsons, regent; Kay Druart, Frontenac, vice regent; Beth Engle, Pittsburg, chaplain; Jackie Casey, Pittsburg, secretary; Leann Webb, Pittsburg, treasurer; and Frances Smith, Pittsburg, historian.

Following installation will be a reception to celebrate the chapter’s past accomplishments and plans for future activities.

Library movie
Pittsburg Public  Library  will present “Monday Night at the Movies,” a free program for young adults entering seventh through 12th grades, at 6 p.m. every Monday from June 4 through July 23.

The library will present a popular movie chosen by the Young Adult Advisory Council, shown on a big screen with a theater quality sound system.

This week’s movie will feature the classic comedy team of Monty Python and its search for the Holy Grail. It is rated PG. Cheesy nachos and beverages will be served.

Anyone needing additional information may stop by the library or call the PPL Youth Services Department at 231-8110.

Quilt Guild
Little Balkans Quilt Guild will meet at 7 p.m. at the Pittsburg Presbyterian Church.

Guest speaker will be Reeze Hanson, whose topic will be “Inspiration Is in the Air.” Focus will be on alternative quilt designs using 60-degree angles.

Visitors are welcome and encouraged to bring their completed quilts to share during the show and tell. Anyone needing additional information may call 620-223-4742.

Girard TOPS
GIRARD — TOPS Group #0975, Girard, meets Mondays at the Girard Presbyterian Church. Weigh-in begins at 4:45 p.m., with the meeting following.

Frontenac card games
Card games will be played from 1 to 4 p.m. every Monday except holidays at the Frontenac Senior Citizens Building. Primary game is pinochle, but any card game is welcome.

TOPS No. 599 (Take off Pounds Sensibly) meets every Monday at College Heights United Methodist Church.

Private weigh-ins are from 5:30 to 6:20 p.m. Meetings start at 6:30 p.m. and are designed to provide motivation and support to help members reach their weight loss goals.
