SNPJ picnic
ARMA — SNPJ Lodge 275 will have a picnic for members and their guests at noon at the Arma American Legion Hall.

Past Matrons and Patrons
Past matrons and past patrons and guess of Eastern Star District No. 4 will meet at 3 p.m. at Pizza Hut. Rob Morris Chapter No. 74 will host the meeting.

Those attending will answer roll call by telling about their favorite vacation. The meal will be ordered Dutch treat from  the menu, with Rob Morris Chapter serving dessert.

Fiddlers and Pickers
FORT SCOTT — Old-Time Fiddlers and Pickers will gather at the Fort Scott Senior Citizen Center, 24 N. Main.

Musicians will start arriving around noon to tune and warm up, with playing from 1 to 3 p.m.

The program will be open to the public. There is no admission charge, but donations are accepted.

Dances canceled
Pittsburg American Legion Post 64 will no longer have a Sunday dance due to circumstances beyond its control.

Progressive Alliance
Progressive Alliance will meet at 3 p.m. in the Pittsburg Public Library upstairs meeting room.

Plans are being made for voter registration drives, including two on the Pittsburg State University campus.

Evangelist speaks
Evangelist Warren Hunter, Branson, Mo., will minister from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Homer Cole Community Center. Services will be open to the public.
