Frontenac Rotary
Frontenac Rotary Club will meet at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Frontenac. Program will be presented by David Lyle of Skateway Roller Rink.
Buddy Benelli will be Rotarian of the day. Cindy Minelli will serve as both greeter and sergeant at arms. Lunch will be meatloaf.
A vote will be taken on a prospective member, Anna Gudde, who is with the Pittsburg Area Chamber of Commerce. She has come at the invitation of Amanda Sukraw.
Liberal Ladies
Liberal Ladies Who Lunch will meet at noon in Sharon Keller’s Art Studio (formerly the Little Room), 108 W. Fifth.
Those attending should bring their own lunch. They will discuss plans to help candidates in the upcoming election.
Alpha Kappa Chapter
Alpha Kappa Chapter, Phi Tau Omega sorority, will have a monthly social at 7 p.m. at the Triple S Steak House, Girard. Hostesses will be Susan Cole and Kathy Shaffer.
Members will have installation for the following 2012-2013 officers: Susan Herrell, president; Jo Hermann, vice president; Jeanette Davied, secretary; Donna Alvested, social secretary; Kathy Puckett, scribe; Becky Cobb, sergeant at arms; Dianne Reikin, treasurer; and Nancy Dungan and Carol Puckett, historians.
Any member unable to attend should contact one of the hostesses.
Business Builders
Business Builders of Southeast Kansas meets from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesdays at Lamplighter Inn and Suites. Anyone needing additional information may call Cheryle Wilson at 231-8700.
Chicopee card games
Card games will be played from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. very Wednesday, except holidays, at the Chicopee Community Center.
All card games are welcome. Bridge players do not need to bring a partner, since the game is set up so that everyone plays, even when there is an odd number of players.
Weight Watchers
Weight Watchers will meet every Wednesday at the Homer Cole Community Center. Weigh-in starts at 5 p.m., followed by the meeting at 5:30 p.m.
