Mary Ann and Thomas E. Thomas recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with close family in Pittsburg. They were married July 14,, 1962 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Pittsburg. Both are lifetime residents of Pittsburg as well. The bride is the former Mary Ann Rinehart, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. W. G. and Winifred A. Rinehart. Mr. Thomas is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Verne and Olive Thomas. Rev. Robert F. Kocour performed the double ring ceremony. Following a reception at the Besse Hotel, the couple honeymooned in Oklahoma and Texas. Maid of Honor was Carolyn (Braun) Murray. Bridesmaids were Lyn (Pistonik) Dupuis and Christine (Simpson) Corsini. The Best Man was John Decker. Groomsmen were Larry Pickert and Kenneth Corsini. Ushers were James Thomas and Robert Harper. Guest Book duties were performed by Angela Lyons. Cake was served by Patty Pickert and Barbara Cukjati (Decker). Champaign was served by Melva (Beasley) Wibert and punch was served by Sherry (Ballock) Wilbert.

The couple have two sons and five grandchildren. Thomas E. Thomas, Jr. of Pittsburg is married to the former Julie Armstrong. Their children are son Taylor and daughters Madison and Avery. Steven W. Thomas of Overland Park, Kansas is married to the former Tracey Fenger. Their daughters are Gabrielle and Olivia.
