On their first three possessions of the second half, the Chadron offense went to redshirt freshman John McLain and promptly was forced to punt on all three possessions.

In fact, the Eagles only made it into Gorilla territory once on those three drives.

However, the Pitt State offense didn’t fare much better as they were forced to punt twice and Dickey threw an interception that was brought down one-handed by Jed Herbian at the Chadron 31.

But, the Gorilla defense continued to hold Chadron, forcing the Eagles to punt the ball away. On those first possessions, the Pitt State defense held Chadron to just one first down.
