PITTSBURG —
Work by several local artists is now displayed throughout the Pittsburg Public Library.
In an effort to promote art in the community, the library called on adult artists and art owners to exhibit one of their works at the library. Submissions were reviewed and installed by the PPL Art Committee.
Included are paintings, drawings, mixed media and photographs. They will be on view for about six months.
Featured artists include Todd Allison, John Becker, Glen A. Blancett, Tori Glover, Carol A. Hammerbacher, Robert McCleary, Clela Morey, Don Morey, Jeanette A. Morey, Richard Shaw, Frank R. Smardo, Paul Smith, Terri Steele, Jill VanDieren and Clarissa Victor.
The art committee will be accepting submissions again in early 2013 for the next display period. Any original artwork will be considered, including indoor and outdoor sculpture. Anyone needing additional information may call the library at 231-8110.
