The staff at St. Paul Schools has some new faces. Added to our mix of skilled and caring teachers are Ms. Kaci Trotter, the new pre-school teacher, and Ms. Rachael Pierce, the new agriculture teacher.
Ms. Trotter, who first started teaching because of her “love for children and desire to teach,” is not new to the teacher’s setting, having previously taught at the Color My World preschool located just a few blocks from St. Paul schools. However, this is her first time teaching in an elementary school.
Ms. Trotter said, “When I was hired I was super excited! I’m from St. Paul so this opportunity is so great!”
While there are many wonderful things about working at St. Paul, Ms. Trotter says her favorite is being with all of her coworkers, who have become good friends to her, and interacting with her students.
Ms. Pierce, on the other hand, who graduated from the University of Arkansas, is just starting her education career. While she student taught before coming to St. Paul, this is her first year teaching a class of her own. She says she enjoys her job and teaching is fun, especially at St. Paul.
When she was asked what first sparked her interest in teaching agriculture, she replied that it was her, “joy, love, and passion for agriculture and the class room and there’s never a dull moment!”
Obviously, St. Paul schools are very lucky to have these new teachers in the classroom with their students!
