The USD 248 Board of Education announced in a press release that it has suspended Superintendent Gary L. Snawder, effective May 29 through the end of his contract on June 30.
According to the release, the board will begin its search to replace Snawder immediately, and Girard High School principal Blaise Bauer will be the temporary contact for all questions about the district’s school functions and other school-related matters.
Board President Tony Stonerock on Wednesday said the board does not release details about personnel decisions. Snawder was not available for comment as of press time.
