Keenagers, a senior citizens chorus, will begin spring season rehearsals on Jan. 4 at the First Baptist Church, Riverton.
Rehearsals will be held at 3 p.m. each Friday at the church. The chorus is under the direction of Scott Nelson, Riverton, with Brenda Plagmann, Joplin, assisting at the piano.
Nelson also directs the Parsons Community Orchestra, and the two groups come together at Christmas and each spring to perform major concerts. The singers also perform for area community and civic groups.
The Keenagers are always looking for new members. The only requirements are that members be at least 50 years old, have a love of singing and be able to read choral parts. Singers are needed in all vocal sections, especially bass and tenor.
Anyone needing additional information may write to the Keenagers at P.O. Box 781, Riverton, Kan., 66770, or call 620-674-8846 or 417-624-2856.
