Southeast Kansas Chapter, National Organization for Women, will meet at 2:30 p.m. in the Pittsburg Public Library upstairs meeting room.
Elise Higgins, new State NOW lobbyist, will be present to discuss her role and to answer questions. All interested persons may attend. Membership information will be available for those wishing to join the chapter.

Cherokee breakfast
CHEROKEE — Cherokee American Legion will serve breakfast from 8 to 11 a.m.
Menu will offer five breakfast plates, each costing $5. They are biscuit and sausage gravy, scrambled eggs and hash browns; two pancakes, two sausage patties and eggs; biscuit and sausage gravy, hash browns and sausage patties; two pancakes, two sausage patties and hash browns; and eggs, sausage patties and hash browns.
Coffee is included in the price. Milk or juice will be available for an additional 50 cents.
Can collection
Members of Sunflower Kiwanis Club will collect aluminum cans from 8 a.m. to noon at the southeast corner of Dillon’s parking lot.
Scrabble Club
Pittsburg Scrabble Club NASPA 613 will meet from 1 to 5 p.m. at the Pittsburg Public Library. Players of all skill levels may participate.

Legion Auxiliary
Benjamin A. Fuller American Legion Auxiliary Unit 64 will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the post home. Elsie Mason, president, will preside.
